Australian glam metal doesn’t come bigger or better than Sydney outfit Crosson.

By incorporating a more theatrical element to their performances, Crosson have managed to make their live show, and therefore their reputation, more than just a piece of music.

They have created a visual display to accompany the music, in the process opening a plethora of possibilities and allowing them the musical scope to grow with each release.
Today, the band unleash their sixth studio album, the appropriately titled Ready…Aim…Rock!! on the world, taking us back to a time when music was dirty and the fans even dirtier.

Frontman Jason Crosson caught up with HEAVY recently to talk about the album, starting with how he is feeling on release day.
"Good," he smiled. "Relieved more than anything. It's been two years of my creative life thrown into it. When you're producing, and you're writing it all, and you're there every second of the way and ticking off artwork and making sure it's all how you want it so, yeah, time to work on the next one now."
With glam metal fast-growing to incorporate even more genres of music, we ask Jason to explain what he was going for musically with the album.
"We didn't wanna repeat ourselves," he measured. "The last album Rock & Roll Love Affair was catchy; it was pumpy; but we still have to keep our … anthems I guess, but we wanted them to mature musically so I delved into my passion for Jim Steinman - as you guys know he wrote for Meatloaf and Bonnie Tyler - so it has matured in that way as a songwriter. You just have to grow. So this album is definitely our most mature and advanced album to date."
In the full interview, Jason talks more about the songs on Ready…Aim…Rock!!, how it is more mature, the singles released and how they relate to the album, the addition of Marko Rado on guitar, Crosson's brand of theatrical glam rock, upcoming shows and more.
