For High School Students

 First Reading: Revelation 10:8-11
I, John, heard a voice from heaven speaking to me. It said, "Go and take the scroll that is open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and the land." So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the scroll. He said, "Take it and eat it. It will taste sweet like honey in your mouth, but it will make your stomach feel bitter." I took the scroll from his hand and ate it. It was as sweet as honey when I tasted it, but afterward, it made my stomach turn sour. Then I was told, "You must speak again, delivering God’s message to many people, nations, languages, and leaders."

Gospel: Luke 19:45-48
Jesus went into the temple and started driving out the people who were buying and selling there. He said to them, "It’s written in Scripture: ‘My house will be a house of prayer,’ but you’ve turned it into a den of thieves!" After that, Jesus taught in the temple every day. The religious leaders and teachers of the law, along with other leaders, wanted to kill Him. But they couldn’t find a way to do it because the crowds were captivated by His words.
