Let’s be honest, most of us treat our wetsuits like crap. Wetsuits are expected to not only keep us warm but obey our bodies with every movement. From that layback slash you imagined yourself doing, to your front foot slipping and giving you the splits. Your wetsuit takes a beating and we are sure many of you have tossed your suits the minute it gets a tear in the seam.

That’s where our latest guest, Chris “Buddy” Pendergast, owner of Stitchbox Wetsuit Repair comes in… Stitchbox was founded in the fall of 2019 to help give our suits a longer life, reduce the amount of waste and change our perception of what is possible when we think we are done with our wetsuits. It all started for Buddy, after a trip he took with the Worn Wear Patagonia crew, repairing wetsuits up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Upon his return, Buddy rented a studio in Rockaway at NY’s fabled Marina 59, and set up a repair shop to service the local New York surf community. Life happened, things changed, and he packed up and moved to Ventura, CA, where he currently lives and works. He was recently signed on as Noah Clothing’s newest Field Team member and he is our guest on this episode of Swell Season.
