Do not wait to ask the questions because you do no know how to ask, are afraid to ask, are embarrassed, do not want to know the answers, are angry at the elder in the first place or just not equipped to deal with the issue in the first place.

Where you put your elders, keep them in the loop, take them on a pre-visit, don't lie to them, ask all the hard questions, bring up your fears with them and the facilities, and ask if the facility for their health testing statistics. What tests do their guests have performed annually to protect all those in the facility.
