This practice is important because without daily remorse & self-evaluation, we can easily fall off track with what The Most High/God wants for us, so practicing this every day maintains balance between our souls/spiritual selves while still living life on this realm called Earth!
It's also worth mentioning that not only prayer but spiritual disciplines like fasting, will help focus our minds more clearly towards seeking forgiveness through The Most High/Christ.
