Growing up in an extremely strict household my father would always look at me and ask, "Do you even know what you're saying? Because to me it means nothing." I totally got what he was trying to teach. So often the words and thoughts we toss out into the universe have a place and purpose in our moment but to anyone listening it comes across as jibbering. The words that move through you on a daily basis is it you or is it a greater energy trying to reach an outside passerby? I don't hide my connections to daily writing and meditation. Both serve as incredible places to unlock what blocks your process from materializing. In October of 2016 I began the writing day with a simple sentence, "What would I be like today if my choice in this moment was to write on a black sheet of paper?" Think about that. The majority of us use white sheets of paper. Our computer screens are blizzard white. If you made the choice to write on a black sheet of paper would you be able to see the word expressions? Put that into your modern walk. By choice we carry dark clouds. A bad day is completely natural. During those moments of shaded expressions do the words you share reach the proper display or do they lay there like thoughts on a dark sheet of paper? Mindful isn't a Yoga word. Mindful is awareness. Becoming more aware of how we use the chosen street speak clears your patterns from the debris caused by those who haven't got the time to patiently try to figure out where you are and why. Somewhere in that connection moods change. Once you feel it the afternoon feels more like a waste than gain. Is something speaking through you or is it you?
