Spasticity is a common symptom affecting many people with neurological diseases, including those with MS. Although the stiffness associated with spasticity can sometimes be helpful when performing daily activities such as getting in and out of a wheelchair or walking, spasticity can also be a nuisance and even lead to serious health concerns. What a great question! While I can’t give you medical advice, I can tell you that both cyclobenzaprine and baclofen are used to treat spasms. The difference is that baclofen is most commonly used for spasticity due to neurological diagnoses, and cyclobenzaprine is used to treat spasms related to musculoskeletal concerns (back and neck pain most commonly).

Good day to all and thank you for the podcast. Question for the Dr. Howard. - I have been using Bacoflen for seven years for my spasticity. My PCM prescribed Cyclobenzaprine for my spasticity. Is this okay?

walker. But for longer distance I have to use a scooter All doctors at the VA agree that this pain had nothing to do with my MS bit they can't tell me what is causing it
