Jean Monnet Chair Prof. Ramūnas Vilpišauskas, together with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark in Lithuania Hans Brask and the Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland Séadhna MacHugh, held a discussion to mark the 50th anniversary of Denmark and Ireland's membership in the EU, during which they discussed the significance of the EU's membership to small states. The participants in the discussion were Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania - Jovita Neliupšienė, former Permanent Representative of Ireland to the European Union - Declan Kelleher, Director of the think tank EUROPA and former Minister for Climate, Energy and Gender Equality of Denmark Lykke Friis. The discussion was moderated by Jean Monnet Chair Prof. Ramūnas Vilpišauskas.

Ramūnas Vilpišauskas kartu su Danijos Karalystės ambasadoriumi Lietuvoje Hans Brask bei Airijos respublikos ambasadore Séadhna MacHugh surengė Danijos ir Airijos narystės ES 50-mečiui paminėti skirtą diskusiją, kurios metu aptarė ES narystės reikšmę mažoms valstybėms. Diskusijoje dalyvavo Lietuvos užsienio reikalų viceministrė Jovita Neliupšienė, buvęs Airijos nuolatinis atstovas Europos Sąjungoje Declan Kelleher, analitinio centro EUROPA direktorė ir buvusi Danijos klimato, energetikos ir lyčių lygybės ministrė Lykke Friis. Diskusiją moderavo Jean Monnet Chair prof. Ramūnas Vilpišauskas.
