A 2016 surveillance video appears to show Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway. This incident was part of a lawsuit filed by Ventura in November, which also alleged that Combs raped her in 2018 and subjected her to years of abuse. Since Ventura's lawsuit, which was quickly settled, several other individuals have come forward with civil suits accusing Combs of sexual assault, abuse, and in some cases, sex trafficking. Combs has denied the allegations.
