Catholic Schools Week: Is from Jan. 29-Feb. 3, and West Catholic students will be very involved with activities in school and with our partner schools throughout the Diocese. These include:
- On Monday, many of our students will be out at our partner schools volunteering as part of our Helping Hands Day.
- In Households on Tuesday we will be writing letters to seminarians and St. Ann’s Home residents.
- The Boys powderpuff volleyball game is on Wednesday.
- Mass at West Catholic is Thursday.
- And the Here’s My Heart Assembly is Friday.
Celebrate West Auction: The Development Team has begun planning our annual Celebrate West Auction! They are asking for gift card donations in the value amounts of $20 or more. Donations can be mailed or dropped off in the Main Office. They are also looking for Bucket Raffle donation items, for example: coolers, camping chairs, electronic items, grills, gift baskets, sports memorabilia, etc. If you have any questions or would like to make a donation, please contact Megan Eversman.
Shake Your Tail Feathers: Congrats to Mr. Laprise the Band Boosters, who have worked hard to put on Saturday's event in the Cafetorium. Thanks to the sponsors who have paid for 25 Veterans to attend the dance and dinner.
On this week’s show:
- We visit two students who reflect on the recent March for Life Rally in Washington DC. Our Student For Life Advisor, Pat Nugent, even crashes the interview.
- As we get ready to welcome incoming freshmen to campus for our Welcome to West event in February, two students -- Cassie and Bree -- sit down with our Admissions Director to talk more about the event.
- We hear from a senior who has advice for freshmen.
- Fr. David Sacha spends time in the lunchroom talking to students for his "At the Table" podcast.
- And WC Live sports reporter Emma Chrystan catches up with the cheer team.
