Ahoy there, beachgoers! Time to catch some waves and soak up some sun with your surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Florida. Get ready for some gnarly updates!

For our pals in South Walton, including Sandestin, Santa Rosa Beach, and Turquoise Beach, we've got high rip current risks hanging around until Thursday evening. Today's looking sunny with 2-foot waves, a water temperature of 76 degrees, and east winds around 15 mph. Tomorrow, expect 4-foot surf heights and mostly sunny skies with a high around 80. And hold onto your beach hats for Wednesday and Thursday as a tropical cyclone amps up the surf even more!

Moving over to Coastal Bay, home to Panama City Beach and Magnolia Beach, we're in the high rip current risk club until Thursday evening too. Today's surf is around 2 feet, with lower 80s temperatures and east winds at 15 mph. Tomorrow, the waves bump up to 3 feet, and it's mostly sunny with high temperatures in the lower 80s. Wednesday and Thursday might bring some showers and possibly thunderstorms, so keep an eye on the skies!

And for our sun-loving friends at Coastal Gulf, rocking the beaches of Saint Joe Beach, the high rip current risk party lasts until Thursday evening. Today's waves are around 1-2 feet, with a cozy water temperature of 76 degrees. Highs around 80, mostly sunny skies, and east winds at 15-20 mph. Tomorrow, expect 1-3 foot surf heights, and the winds pick up to around 20 mph. Midweek might get a bit stormy, so keep an umbrella handy!

Lastly, Coastal Franklin, where Apalachicola shines bright, also faces a high rip current risk until late Thursday night. Surf heights around 3 feet, sunny skies, and east winds at 15-20 mph today and tomorrow. Things heat up in the upper 70s, but keep an eye out for possible showers and thunderstorms midweek.

Remember, always stay aware of rip current risks, and check out the link in the forecast for more info on beach safety. Now go out there, ride those waves, and have a splashing good time!
