Note: I did have some technical difficulties with this episode, but I think I got all the dead air edited out.

On tonight’s show, Joe begins with the suspension of Kevin Brown, who is the play-by-play announcer for the Baltimore Orioles. What did he get suspended for? Doing his job and telling a story about how the Orioles lost all the time in Tampa the last five years or so, but had a chance to, and they did, have a winning record in Tampa. Apparently the outrage got to the Angelos family, as Brown will be back on Friday, according to my source, the Sports Business Journal as well as a few others.

Best fight of the weekend goes to the Tim Anderson/Jose Ramirez fight. Anderson was suspended 6 games, while Ramirez got 3 games. Joe cites the fact that Anderson has been in trouble a few times more, and he sees progressive discipline as one of the reasons for the 6 games off the field.

Shane McClanahan, the ace of the Tampa Bay Rays, may be gone for the season, as he’s getting a second opinion on the forearm strain that he suffered recently. When certain doctors are mentioned, this may be another pitcher going through the Tommy John rite of passage.

Umpire Lew Williams showed that he might have gone to the Angel Hernandez Umpiring School, as he had not one, not two, but THREE calls at first base reversed by instant replay in a matter of minutes in the first game of the Washington Nationals/Philadelphia Phillies doubleheader. Ummm…congrats?

Rockin’ Reese joins me and we review the stories I went over at the start of the show, with the Kevin Brown suspension, the Anderson/Ramirez fight and the Lew Williams story. We also reviews the fight in Alabama where a dock worker was attacked by a few drunk guys. At least we think the attacked was a dock worker, and we are pretty sure the other guys were drunk. Then I started to get issues as I was trying to pull up the story of the car in what I think is Central Pennsylvania of a car ending up in a house’s second floor. This will be covered on Thursday for the Stupid (Stuff) I Saw segment.
