mostra di piùIt was 1920 that foster owned and managed manager of the Chicago American Giants organize the Negro National League which became the first stable and financially successful black baseball league.
In 1981, Foster was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He was the first representative of the Negro Leagues elected as a pioneer or executive.
It was sad how Rube Foster died. It is said that he was asphyxiated by a gas leak. He was not quite the same. He had to be institutionalized. He died in an insane asylume in Kankake, Illinois. Many speculate that the gas leak was to take Rube out. The great Andrew Rube Foster.
I haven't seen any films on Rufus the talking or being interviewed but there is one quote I've read by Rube Foster.
