Why do we as rock music fans think that every time our favorite underground band hits radio or has some success they sell out, and then we can't like them anymore? Why do we feel like every time a band changes up their sound a bit they sold out? Every stop to think maybe that's just the direction their art took? As artists the main goal is do what you love for a living, so when an artist has some success that's a good thing. Sure there have been bands or artists over the years that have "sold out" but so what? Let's discuss why most likely your favorite band hasn't in fact sold out.
