Providence Heights offers a revolutionary model for empowering Seattle’s at-risk women, with plans to build a model for all of the U.S. The Christian-based nonprofit provides housing, counseling, job training and certification without relying solely on donations or government funding. Instead, the organization reinvests revenues generated through sales and real-estate enterprises to create a self-sustaining revenue stream — something they like to call Capitalism for the Poor. They are an intentional training center that will help women discover their purpose.
