Prince Harry has reportedly "reached out" to his dad Prince Charles in an attempt to heal their rift before the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations next year


Prince Harry and Prince Charles are engaged in secret talks to heal the rift between them, sources say.



Prince Charles and Prince Harry have been holding secret talks to heal their family rift before the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, according to reports. 


Sources say that the Duke of Sussex "reached out" to his dad and is expected to return home next year.


A royal insider said: “There has been a definite thaw in relations between Harry and Charles. They are on much better terms and have been having friendly chats and video calls.


“It has been suggested to Harry he may live to regret any lingering family bitterness, and he has taken that on board.


“There is a feeling he is coming back more into the fold and wants to be closer to his family.”


Harry reached out to his dad, the source said 


Harry is expected to return for Her Majesty's celebration, which will take place in June after she officially passes the milestone in February.


But Harry may return alone, without Meghan, 40, Archie, two, and youngest Lilibet, who is seven months old, The Sun reports. 


Another key date in the royal calendar is Prince Philip's memorial, expected in March or April, but it's unknown whether Harry will return for the event.


Harry is expected to return for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, but it's unknown whether Meghan will be with him .


Expert Ingrid Seward claims the royals will "breathe a sigh of relief" if Harry and Meghan fail to make the memorial. 


The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were expected to return to the UK later this year to join the Queen and the rest of the Firm to celebrate the monarch's Platinum Jubilee.


While Her Majesty also agreed for a Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey for the late Duke of Edinburgh to be held on an as yet unspecified date, reports the Daily Star.


Harry attended his grandfather's funeral alone last April after jetting over from the US without Meghan who was pregnant and advised not to travel by doctors.
