According to the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, one in five women will experience maternal mental health (MMH) conditions during pregnancy or the first year postpartum, and seventy-five percent of those women will go untreated.
This podcast is the amazing and brave journey of how Amanda Deeds dealt with her intense and overwhelming postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety just hours after the birth of her baby girl. Amanda is a seasoned and brilliant Labor & Delivery Nurse who herself journeyed through the dark gates of depression and anxiety in the midst of what should have been the most joyous and celebratory time of her life.
She openly shares how she became quickly became paralyzed with the overwhelming feelings of anxiety and depression and came out on the other side to now become an advocate for all mothers dealing with PPD and PPA.
