Dr. David Hoffman, Associate Professor, Ethics and Health Policy and Director, Healthcare Management Program at Maria College has recently published a commentary article in Ageing Science and Mental Health Studies titled “Public Health Responding to the Epidemic of Alzheimer’s Disease.” In this podcast with Diane Donato, he talks about research showing that Alzheimer's caregivers are at increased risk for health and economic problems. Hoffman says it's important for public officials to consider the toll Alzheimer's is taking and suggests ways the health community can do more to help those who are helping others.
