Salmos 21:1‭-‬13 RVA2015:
¡Oh SEÑOR, el rey se alegra en tu poder! ¡Cuánto se goza en tu salvación! Le has concedido el deseo de su corazón y no le has negado la petición de sus labios. Selah
Le has salido al encuentro con las mejores bendiciones; corona de oro fino has puesto sobre su cabeza. Te pidió vida, y se la concediste; vida extensa, eternamente y para siempre. Gloria grande halla en tu liberación; honra y esplendor has puesto sobre él. Porque le has dado bendiciones para siempre y le has colmado con la alegría de tu rostro. Por eso el rey confía en el SEÑOR; por la misericordia del Altísimo no será removido.
Tu mano alcanzará a todos tus enemigos; tu diestra alcanzará a los que te aborrecen. Los pondrás como horno de fuego en el tiempo en que te presentes. El SEÑOR los destruirá en su furor, y el fuego los consumirá. Destruirás el fruto de ellos en la tierra; sus descendientes de entre los hijos del hombre. Porque se volvieron contra ti para hacerte daño; idearon maquinaciones pero no prevalecerán. En la cuerda de tu arco alistarás las flechas contra la cara de ellos; ciertamente les harás volver la espalda. ¡Enaltécete, oh SEÑOR, con tu poder! Cantaremos y alabaremos tu poderío.


Pienso que todos tenemos una actitud de rey. Muchos consideran que son poderosos por su forma de adquirir riquezas, otros por su intelecto y conocimiento en alguna o varias ciencias. Muchos tienen un talento que los hace sobresalir y dominar sobre muchos en el área de experiencia en que se destacan. En la tierra existen muchos 'reyes' que han construido su 'imperio' en su casa, comunidad y ciudad, siendo de gran influencia y han creado cierta fama a su alrededor. Muchos reyes son actores, modelos, empresarios, diseñadores, artistas, inversores, profesores, deportistas, etc. Aun algunos líderes religiosos han hecho crecer sus ministerios alrededor de la persona y no del Dios al cual profesan.
Este es un salmo de expresión de un rey que reconoció que todo su poderío, riquezas, y larga vida es concedido por el Señor y solamente por Su misericordia. Él estaba convencido de que había hallado la gracia divina porque era un gobernante exitoso.
Aquí es donde aplicamos la reflexión del día de hoy. A diferencia de muchos reyes que en la antigüedad se hacían más arrogantes a medida que sus reinos crecían, al punto de crear una imagen divina alrededor de ellos, obligando a sus súbditos a que los admiraran como un semi-dios, David doblegaba su orgullo para reconocer humildemente que todo lo que ha tenido proviene de Dios.
Reyes como Nabucodonosor y Dario tuvieron que aceptar que ellos no eran semi-dioses o seres divinos, pues los hijos De Dios como Daniel y sus amigos les dieron ejemplos claros de quién es el verdadero Dios, a quien ellos sirvieron y adoraron con todo su corazón, aun poniendo sus vidas en riesgo.
Actualmente, muchos que se autodenominaban reyes en el gremio en que se destacaban murieron en su altivez miserables, pues su fama y poder no les llenaba el vacío de su alma. Otros fracasaron y recordaron que no eran inmortales, y en su fracaso y caída reconocieron lo arrogantes que eran y lo equivocados que estaban. Muchos decidieron vivir vidas más modestas o siguieron creciendo sus imperios pero con una perspectiva más humana.

Espero que podamos hoy doblegar nuestras ínfulas de grandeza y crucificarlas para que el verdadero Rey reciba toda honra y alabanza; que cuando tengamos alguna victoria o logro a nivel personal o profesional, seamos lo suficientemente coherentes, maduros y humildes para atribuirle todo el honor y créditos a Aquel que te da las fuerzas, el conocimiento, la sabiduría, la prudencia y la destreza para que desarrolles esos dones, talentos y habilidades en el lugar de trabajo, estudio, tu empresa, profesión, etc. Cualquiera que sea el lugar donde te desempeñas, hazlo con integridad y con mucho esfuerzo como si todo dependiera de ti, pero confía que todo te saldrá bien porque el Todopoderoso está tomando control de tu mente y cuerpo para que seas una persona exitosa y así des ejemplo que los hijos de Dios son personas que pueden sobresalir como creyentes y cristianos en el mundo empresarial, académico, laboral o deportivo.

Puedes construir un imperio pero con la excepción de que el rey sea nuestro Gran Rey Jesucristo. Nunca olvides quien está sobre ti, y quien es tu Señor y Rey. Déjalo reinar en el trono de tu corazón.

October 6: May all glory and honor be to our Great King!

Psalms 21:1-13:
The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord; and in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah
For You meet him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold upon his head. He asked life from You, and You gave it to him— Length of days forever and ever. His glory is great in Your salvation; honor and majesty You have placed upon him. For You have made him most blessed forever; You have made him exceedingly glad with Your presence. For the king trusts in the Lord, and through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be moved.
Your hand will find all Your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate You. You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger; the Lord shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire shall devour them. Their offspring You shall destroy from the earth, and their descendants from among the sons of men. For they intended evil against You; they devised a plot which they are not able to perform. Therefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces.
Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power.


I think we all have a kingly attitude. Many consider that they are powerful because of their way of acquiring wealth, others because of their intellect and knowledge in one or more sciences. Many have a talent that makes them stand out and dominate over many in the area of ​​expertise in which they excel. On earth there are many 'kings' who have built their 'empire' in their home, community and city, being of great influence and they have created a certain fame around them. Many kings are actors, models, businessmen, designers, artists, investors, teachers, athletes, etc. Even some religious leaders have grown their ministries around the person and not the God they profess.
This is a psalm of expression of a king who recognized that all his might, riches and long life are bestowed by the Lord and only by His mercy. He was convinced that he had found divine grace because he was a successful ruler.
This is where we apply today's reflection. Unlike many kings who in ancient times grew more arrogant as their kingdoms grew, to the point of creating a divine image around them, forcing their subjects to admire them as a demi-god, David bent his pride to humbly acknowledge that everything he has had comes from God.
Kings like Nebuchadnezzar and Darius had to accept that they were not demi-gods or divine beings, because the children of God like Daniel and his friends gave them clear examples of who is the true God whom they served and worshiped with all their hearts, even putting their lives at risk.
Currently many who called themselves kings in the guild in which they excelled died in their miserable arrogance, because their fame and power did not fill the emptiness of their soul. Others failed and remembered that they were not immortal, and in their failure and fall they recognized how arrogant they were and how wrong they were. Many chose to live more modest lives or continued to grow their empires but with a more humane outlook.

I hope that today we can bend our pretenses of greatness and crucify them so that the true King may receive all honor and praise; that when we have a victory or achievement at a personal or professional level, we are coherent, mature and humble enough to attribute all the honor and credits to the One who gives you the strength, the knowledge, the wisdom, the prudence and the skill to develop those gifts, talents and abilities in the workplace, study, your company, profession, etc. Wherever you work, do it with integrity and with a lot of effort as if everything depends on you, but trust that everything will work out for you because the Almighty is taking control of your mind and body so that you are a successful person and thus set an example that the children of God are people who can excel as believers and Christians in the business, academic, labor or sports world.

You can build an empire but with the exception that the king is our Great King Jesus Christ. Never forget who is on you, and who is your Lord and King. Let Him reign on the throne of your heart.
