Salmos 20:1‭-‬9 RVA2015:
El SEÑOR te responda en el día de angustia; el nombre del Dios de Jacob te defienda. Él te envíe ayuda desde su santuario y te sostenga desde Sion. Tenga él memoria de tus ofrendas y acepte tu holocausto. Selah Él te dé conforme a tu corazón y cumpla todos tus planes. Nosotros nos alegraremos por tu salvación, y en el nombre de nuestro Dios alzaremos bandera. Cumpla el SEÑOR todos tus anhelos. Ahora reconozco que el SEÑOR da la victoria a su ungido; le responderá desde su santo cielo con la fuerza liberadora de su diestra. Estos confían en carros, y aquellos en caballos; pero nosotros confiamos en el nombre del SEÑOR nuestro Dios. Ellos se doblegan y caen, pero nosotros nos levantamos y estamos firmes. ¡Salva, oh SEÑOR! ¡Que el Rey nos oiga el día en que le invoquemos!


Este es un salmo que muchos cristianos dedican a personas en momentos especiales porque está basado en la esperanza del poder de Dios, actuando a favor de la persona a la cual se le está deseando la protección y las bendiciones de Dios.
Uno de los deseos es que el Señor le conceda los deseos de su corazón y de su vida. Esta es una carta o canción con una gran dosis de amor y cariño hacia la persona a la que se le está dedicando este salmo, porque también expresa un sentimiento sincero de festejo al alegrarse por las bendiciones recibidas, sin dar espacio a la envidia ni al egoísmo. He escuchado anteriormente comentarios de frustración de algunos cristianos cuando ven que otra persona está siendo bendecida y dicen: "¿Por qué Dios sí bendice a esa persona y a mí no?” Esa es una forma de pensar imprudente y egoísta, cuando deberíamos estar celebrando las victorias de nuestros hermanos en vez de cuestionar por qué Dios lo está bendiciendo, o estar midiendo la cantidad de bendiciones, comparándonos y murmurando por qué él o ella tiene más que yo.

Recuerda que las bendiciones vienen de diferentes formas y maneras, que cada hogar está pasando por diferentes etapas que las demás familias y que los procesos espirituales son diferentes del uno al otro.
En el afán de buscar nuestra propia prosperidad muchas veces nos olvidamos de la bendición que existe cuando celebramos las victorias de nuestro prójimo. Ejercitemos esta noble virtud de llorar con los que lloran y gozarnos con los que se gozan, como lo escribió el apóstol Pablo a los Romanos en el capítulo 12, verso 15.
Es por eso que alguien dijo que cuando hagas tus oraciones, primero pide por la de tu prójimo y por último pide por tus necesidades, pues de esa forma estás poniendo primero a la otra persona y así desarrollaremos aún más el don de la compasión y la misericordia hacia el prójimo. Te darás cuenta que cuando pides por otros, verás que tus propios problemas se hacen más pequeños, nuestra preocupación mengua y aumenta el amor por nuestro hermano y hermana.

Para concluir, recuerda este pasaje de Romanos 12:10 como un consejo acerca del trato entre nosotros como familia de Dios: "Ámense de corazón unos a otros como hermanos y que cada uno aprecie a los otros más que a sí mismo." (Versión: La Palabra (Hispanoamérica)).

Considera:
Cuando alguien obtiene un logro, ¿me enojo de frustración porque yo no lo he recibido todavía, o comparto su alegría como si fuera la mía?
¿Reconozco que la victoria de mi hermano es merecida por su arduo trabajo y porque Dios le concedió su petición?

October 5: I will celebrate your victory when the King hears you!

Psalm 20:1-9:
May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you; may He send you help from the sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion; may He remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah
May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your purpose. We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They have bowed down and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright.
Save, Lord! May the King answer us when we call.


This is a psalm that many Christians dedicate to people in special moments because it is based on the hope of God's power, acting on behalf of the person who is being wished for protection and blessings of God.
One of the wishes is that the Lord grant their heart and life's desires. This is a letter or song with a great dose of love and affection towards the person to whom this psalm is being dedicated, because it also expresses a sincere feeling of celebration by rejoicing in the blessings received, without leaving room for envy or selfishness. I have previously heard comments of frustration from some Christians when they see that another person is being blessed and say: "Why does God bless that person and not me?" That is a reckless and selfish way of thinking, when we should be celebrating the victories of our brothers and sisters instead of questioning why God is blessing them, or measuring the number of blessings, comparing ourselves and murmuring why he or she has more than I do.

Remember that blessings come in different forms and ways, every household is going through different stages that other families and spiritual processes are different from one to the other.
In an eagerness to find our own prosperity we often forget the blessing that exists when we celebrate the victories of our neighbors. Let us exercise this noble virtue of crying with those who mourn and rejoicing with those who rejoice, as the apostle Paul wrote to the Romans in chapter 12, verse 15.
That is why someone said that when you make your prayers, first ask for your neighbor's and lastly ask for your needs, because that way you are putting the other person first and thus we will further develop the gift of compassion and mercy towards others. You will realize that when you ask for others, you will see that your own problems become smaller, our concern diminishes and the love for our brother and sister increases.

To conclude, remember this passage from Romans 12:10 as a piece of advice about how we deal with each other as God's family: "Love each other in a way that makes you feel close like brothers and sisters. And give each other more honor than you give yourself.” (Easy-to-Read Version).

Consider this:
When someone achieves an achievement, do I get angry with frustration because I haven't received it yet, or do I share their joy as if it were my own?
Do I acknowledge that my brother and sister's victory is deserved because of their hard work and because God granted their petition?
