Are our children FREE at last? Today, we are going to pay homage to Dr. King, who would have celebrated his 89th birthday. And while we celebrate Dr. King’s birthday I am also celebrating my 21st year as an educator on this day. Twenty one years ago, I became an educator as a high school chemistry teacher and I would later become a GED and HR teacher. I am currently a College Chemistry and Biology Professor as well as an Educational Consultant where I go into many schools each year to empower our scholars to become a STEM (Science Technology Engineering or Math) Leader one day! All of these accolades would not be possible if it were not for the DREAM that Dr. King had for our children. He’s not the only one that wanted African American people to be FREE mentally and physically from the chains of racism and white supremacy.
