It was an honour (and dream come true!) to interview Maryn from Indie Birth on the podcast. Indie Birth are leading a global revolution in restoring autonomous birth, for birthing women and birth workers.

Maryn shares her own relationship, and journey, with our industrial birth model - as a licensed Midwife, birthing mother, and now as a truly independent Midwife. We discuss the fact that medicalised birth is still relevant, why and how this relates to the evolution of our consciousness as women reclaiming their power, plus the elements and vision of the new paradigm of birth we wish to see in the world. 

Maryn speaks directly to the 'indie' part of their name, their history, message and work in the world. I ask Maryn her thoughts and beliefs on medicalised birth, the term, varying definitions and the spiritual role of the word Midwifery, the dynamics of social media and it's role in the world of birth, and so much more!
