Today’s forecast for coastal areas ranges from Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef and extends to East Cape Sable to Bonita Beach. We're looking at gentle to moderate east to southeasterly winds cruising around 10 to 15 miles per hour. So if you're setting sail, expect seas around 2 feet with the occasional chance of showers and thunderstorms sprinkled throughout the day.

As we move into Monday, those winds might shift and become a bit more southerly, especially in the Gulf waters. Don't forget your rain gear, as the chances of showers and storms are predicted to ramp up early next week.

For those cruising along the Gulf Stream, hazards are staying on the down-low. The west wall of the Gulf Stream currently hugging spots like Fowey Rocks and Port Everglades but maintaining a safe distance.

Now, let's zero in on specifics for areas from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach. Today, expect those east-southeast winds clocking in at 10 to 15 miles per hour, creating seas around 2 feet. Keep an eye out for possible showers, with thunderstorms looming around midnight and into early Tuesday.

For Lake Okeechobee enthusiasts, expect some easterly wind action around 5 to 10 miles per hour, stirring up a light chop on the water. Showers and thunderstorms might pop up, so plan accordingly.

And for all you Biscayne Bay fans out there, east winds of 10 to 15 miles per hour are on deck, making for a moderate chop along the bay waters. Showers and thunderstorms are definitely on the horizon.
