Scam guys go after lonely women on Facebook, usually with a fake minimal military profile, and start getting romantic and then want to come visit them from somewhere else in the world, but they cannot afford it, so they ask you to send them money. I helped someone bust a ring of those a couple of years back.

I have a land line. If they spoof a number of someone I know, I pick it up and if you hear a robo-caller, just hit the # key several times (a dozen should do it), it disconnects and wipes you out of their database.

To prevent getting SWAT'd, call your local police or sheriff department and have them call you first to see if it is real when they get a call from someone that there is something going on at your address.
