We continue Jess Byard June with Lisztomania, Ken Russell's attempt to chronicle the life, times, improprieties, and death of composer Franz Liszt. The Who's Roger Daltrey stars as the composer in a film that fuses classical music, biopic, and anachronism into an over-the-top, bizarre ride that could only have come from Ken Russell. We dig into Daltrey as Liszt, the cuckoo imagery, and the real man at the center of the film.
Artist Maggie the Odd and Scary Stories We Tell's Jess Byard join Chris Stachiw, the Doctor of Podcasting, to talk Lisztomania, Ken Russell, Roger Daltrey, and so much more.
