They are currently first-year MPH students who are looking at the extensive impact of tuberculosis on underserved communities. Tuberculosis treatment is not only expensive, but it also very rigid. As a result, Tuberculosis victims discuss extreme discomfort with the treatment regime and fail to complete their treatment. Members of this episode discuss tuberculosis's prevalence in South Africa since it has one of the highest MDR-tuberculosis and XDR- tuberculosis infection rates. They also propose an intervention program that may help with the completion of tuberculosis treatment.
