Levítico 14: Proceso de Purificación.

Levítico 14:1-9 RVA2015:
1 El SEÑOR habló a Moisés diciendo: 2 “Estas serán las instrucciones acerca del leproso en el día de su purificación: Será traído al sacerdote. 3 El sacerdote saldrá fuera del campamento y examinará al leproso; y he aquí que si la llaga de la lepra del leproso está sanada, 4 el sacerdote mandará traer para el que se purifica dos pájaros vivos y limpios, madera de cedro, tinte escarlata e hisopo. 5 Luego el sacerdote mandará degollar uno de los pájaros sobre una vasija de barro que contenga aguas vivas. 6 Después tomará el pájaro vivo, la madera de cedro, el tinte escarlata y el hisopo, y los sumergirá junto con el pájaro vivo en la sangre del pájaro degollado sobre las aguas vivas. 7 Después rociará siete veces al que se purifica de la lepra y lo declarará puro. Luego soltará el pájaro vivo en el campo abierto.
8 “El que se purifica lavará su ropa, afeitará todo su pelo y se lavará con agua. Así quedará purificado. Después podrá entrar en el campamento, pero quedará fuera de su tienda durante siete días. 9 Al séptimo día afeitará de nuevo todo su pelo: su cabeza, su barba y sus cejas, es decir, todo su pelo. Luego lavará su ropa y lavará su cuerpo con agua, y quedará purificado.

En este capítulo vemos el proceso del que ha recibido sanidad, desapareciendo su lepra. Tiene que pasar por unos pasos rigurosos y muy sagrados para que pudiera reintegrarse a la sociedad, recuperando su dignidad y comenzando una nueva vida después de vivir condenado al aislamiento y la vergüenza. No olvides leer todo el capítulo completo. Es muy interesante conocer todos los procesos. Primero, la persona leprosa debía pasar por la purificación trayendo ciertos animales para el sacrificio.
En el proceso de purificación de la piel, se debía reunir elementos específicos. Cada elemento de purificación es un simbolismo claro del sacrificio que purifica a la humanidad. Las aguas vivas, la sangre de las avecillas, el cedro, la grana (tinte escarlata) y el hisopo son elementos que simbolizan la obra de Jesucristo.
El agua viva es agua sacada de un río, no de un pozo; este simboliza nueva vida, el Espíritu de Dios y la Palabra de Dios.
La sangre simboliza la vida. Jesus nos da perdón y salvación por medio de sacrificio y muerte en la cruz.
El cedro es un árbol medicinal y simboliza sanidad. Sus raíces, tallo y hojas se usaban para calmar diferentes clases de dolencias. Hasta el día de hoy se usa como medicina homeopática.
La grana (tinte escarlata) es un tinte de color rojo intenso, color de la sangre. Simboliza la redención de nuestros pecados.
Y el hisopo es una planta usada para diferentes dolencias respiratorias, estomacales. En Salmos 51:7, David sabía que el hisopo simboliza perdón y purificación al pedirle al Señor que lo purifique de sus pecados; leamos este salmo desde el verso 7 al 13: “¡Purifícame con hisopo, y estaré limpio! ¡Lávame, y estaré más blanco que la nieve! ¡Lléname de gozo y alegría, y revivirán estos huesos que has abatido! No te fijes ya en mis pecados; más bien, borra todas mis maldades. Dios mío, ¡crea en mí un corazón limpio! ¡Renueva en mí un espíritu de rectitud! ¡No me despidas de tu presencia, ni quites de mí tu santo espíritu! ¡Devuélveme el gozo de tu salvación! ¡Dame un espíritu dispuesto a obedecerte! Así instruiré a los pecadores en tus caminos; así los pecadores se volverán a ti.”

Cuando alguien está dispuesto a ser purificado, reconoce su condición de maldad, no se justifica a sí mismo pensando que es bueno por sus buenas acciones. Reconoce que por más bueno que intente ser, necesita pasar por el proceso del arrepentimiento delante de Dios, que es un pecador ante Su presencia, que sus propias acciones no son suficientes, y que necesita ser lavado con la sangre de Jesús.
En ese momento será pasado por los diferentes elementos que, combinados, surten un efecto sobrenatural sobre el alma del que quiere seguir a Dios. El bautismo en agua y el nombre de Jesús purifican el alma de sus pecados.
Así que, valoremos estos pasos que el Señor nos ha dejado para que seamos totalmente limpios y purificados delante de Dios. Si tú o algún miembro de tu familia no han pasado por este proceso espiritual y no han tomado estos pasos de fe, anímense unos a otros a recibir la purificación que Dios ha establecido por medio de estos actos de fe.
No olvides que si en alguna cosa o en algún momento nos equivocamos, podemos venir ante el Señor y Él nos purificará.
Isaías 1:18 dice: “Venid luego, dice el Señor, y estemos a cuenta: si vuestros pecados fueren como la grana, como la nieve serán emblanquecidos; si fueren rojos como el carmesí, vendrán a ser como blanca lana.”

Leviticus 14: Purification Process.

Leviticus 14:1-9 NKJV:
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “This shall be the law of the leper for the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest. And the priest shall go out of the camp, and the priest shall examine him; and indeed, if the leprosy is healed in the leper, then the priest shall command to take for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop. And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water. As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. And he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose in the open field. He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean. After that he shall come into the camp, and shall stay outside his tent seven days. But on the seventh day he shall shave all the hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows—all his hair he shall shave off. He shall wash his clothes and wash his body in water, and he shall be clean.

In this chapter we see the process from the one who has received healing, his leprosy has disappeared. He has to go through some rigorous and very sacred steps so that he could reintegrate into society, recovering his dignity and starting a new life after living condemned to isolation and shame. Don't forget to read the entire chapter. It is very interesting to know all the processes. First, the leprous person had to go through purification by bringing certain animals for sacrifice.
In the skin purification process, specific elements had to be gathered. Each element of purification is a clear symbolism of the sacrifice that purifies humanity. The living waters, the blood of the birds, the cedar, the scarlet and the hyssop are elements that symbolize the work of Jesus Christ.
Living water is water drawn from a river, not from a well; it symbolizes new life, the Spirit of God and the Word of God.
The blood symbolizes life. Jesus gives us forgiveness and salvation through sacrifice and death on the cross.
The cedar is a medicinal tree and symbolizes healing. Its roots, stem and leaves were used to calm different kinds of ailments. To this day it is used as homeopathic medicine.
Scarlet is a deep red dye, the color of blood. It symbolizes the redemption of our sins.
And hyssop is a plant used for different respiratory, stomach ailments. In Psalm 51:7, David knew that hyssop symbolizes forgiveness and purification by asking the Lord to cleanse him from his sins; Let's read this psalm from verse 7 to 13: “Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you.” (Version:NIV).

When someone is willing to be purified, he recognizes his evil condition, he does not justify himself thinking that he is good because of his good deeds. He recognizes that no matter how good he tries to be, he needs to go through the process of repentance before God, that he is a sinner in His presence, that his own actions are not enough, and that he needs to be washed in the blood of Jesus.
At that moment it will be passed through the different elements that, combined, have a supernatural effect on the soul of those who want to follow God. Water baptism and the name of Jesus purify the soul from sins.
So, let us value these steps that the Lord has left us so that we can be totally clean and purified before God. If you or a member of your family has not gone through this spiritual process and taken these steps of faith, please encourage one another to receive the purification that God has established through these acts of faith.
Do not forget that if we are wrong in something or at any time, we can come before the Lord and He will purify us.
Isaiah 1:18 says: “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
