Connor Bice and Lauren Manzione speak on the recent report released Clinician Turnover & The EHR Experience. The main topic is on the likelihood of clinicians leaving their organization within the next 2 years, this research was conducted only a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Connor and Lauren touch on how clinicians have become more dissatisfied with their technology and EHR. The research in this report found that there are a lot of factors for this type of dissatisfaction, one of them being burnout. The numbers have been record breaking and there is a strong correlation between the burnout clinicians are experiencing, and the dissatisfaction for technology and EHR. 59,000 total clinicians responded in regard to this research, Nurses were more likely to leave and are one of the most burned out groups. Lauren then suggests a few tips on how preventative measures can minimize clinician’s burnout level. It’s important to note that nurses are the face of medicine, they are the ones that are doing a lot of daily constant interactions with patients.
