Story Transcript:

Ga: Lá amháin, i lár coille draíochta, bhí cairde triúir ag siúl.
En: Once, in the middle of a magical forest, three friends were walking.

Ga: Bhí Finnegan, O'Rourke, agus McCormack ar thuras go Caisleán na Blarnan chun an cloch cáiliúil, An Cloch Bhlarney, a phógadh.
En: There was Finnegan, O'Rourke, and McCormack on a journey to Blarney Castle to kiss the famous stone, the Blarney Stone.

Ga: Síltear go dtugann sé sin ádh agus cumas cainte duit.
En: It is said to give you luck and the gift of gab.

Ga: Nuair a shroicheadar an áit, bhain siad triail as an nós ársa.
En: When they reached the place, they tried the old tradition.

Ga: Bhí sé seo ar an liosta rudaí le déanamh ag Finnegan roimh a theacht go hÉirinn.
En: This was on the list of things to do by Finnegan before coming to Ireland.

Ga: Bhí sceitimíní air, ach freisin, imní beag faoin draíocht.
En: He was excited, but also a little worried about the magic.

Ga: "An bhfuil tú réidh?
En: "Are you ready?"

Ga: " arsa McCormack le gáire mór.
En: McCormack said with a big smile.

Ga: Bhí Finnegan ag meabhrú scéalta a sheanmháthar faoin gCloch seo.
En: Finnegan was recalling old stories from his grandmother about this Stone.

Ga: Chuir sé i gcuimhne dóibh faoi na rialacha: "Caithfidh tú tú féin a iompú siar agus an chloch a phógadh.
En: He reminded them of the rules: "You have to lean back and kiss the stone."

Ga: "Lean na cairde le chéile go dtí an Cloch.
En: The friends continued on to the Stone.

Ga: Bhí O'Rourke agus McCormack ag faire go dlúth.
En: O'Rourke and McCormack watched closely.

Ga: Le hiontas, chonaiceadar go bhfuair Finnegan a theanga greamaithe den chloch fhuar!
En: To their surprise, they saw Finnegan getting his tongue stuck to the cold stone!

Ga: "Ó mo chroí!
En: "Oh my heart!"

Ga: " arsa O'Rourke.
En: said O'Rourke.

Ga: "Tá a theanga greamaithe!
En: "His tongue is stuck!"

Ga: "Ní fhéadfadh Finnegan labhairt.
En: Finnegan couldn't speak.

Ga: Bhí cuma scanrúil air.
En: He looked scared.

Ga: D'fhéach sé ar a chairde go han-dóchasach.
En: He looked at his friends hopefully.

Ga: McCormack, nach raibh chomh suaimhneach sin, dúirt, "Caithfimid cabhair a fháil.
En: McCormack, who wasn't so calm, said, "We have to get help.

Ga: Tá sé in am!
En: It's time!"

Ga: "Rith O'Rourke chun corp na caisleán chun cabhair a lorg.
En: O'Rourke ran to the castle's body to find help.

Ga: Bhí an t-am ag imeacht go gasta.
En: Time was running out.

Ga: Bhí imní ar McCormack go dtarlódh rud éigin dona do Finnegan.
En: McCormack was worried something bad would happen to Finnegan.

Ga: Ar ais sa chaisleán, chuaigh O'Rourke go dtí an fear is sine a d'fhéadfadh sé a fháil.
En: Back in the castle, O'Rourke went to the oldest man he could find.

Ga: Bhí a fhios ag an seanfhear díreach cad atá le déanamh.
En: The old man knew exactly what to do.

Ga: "Uisce te," ar sé.
En: "Warm water," he said.

Ga: "Is é an t-aon dóigh é.
En: "It's the only way."

Ga: "Rith O'Rourke ar ais go ceann ráithe agus thug sé leis an uisce te.
En: O'Rourke ran back to a nearby stream and brought back the warm water.

Ga: Chuir McCormack an t-uisce te timpeall theanga Finnegan agus, ar deireadh, scaoil an chloch a greim.
En: McCormack poured the warm water around Finnegan's tongue, and eventually, the grip of the stone was released.

Ga: Bhí sé saor ar deireadh!
En: He was finally free!

Ga: Bhí gáire agus ceiliúradh go léir timpeall.
En: There was laughter and celebration all around.

Ga: D'inis Finnegan do na daoine go mbeadh sé buíoch go deo as an gcabhair.
En: Finnegan told the people how grateful he'd be for the help.

Ga: "Is breá liom Éire," arsa Finnegan, a theanga beagán tinn ach a chroí lán de fhondúireacht.
En: "I love Ireland," said Finnegan, his tongue a little sore but his heart full of gratitude.

Ga: Ón lá sin i leith, gach uair a chonaic siad cloch, rinne na cairde magadh faoin eachtra.
En: From that day on, every time they saw a stone, the friends joked about the incident.

Ga: Ach d'fhoghlaimsiad ceacht luachmhar: Caithfidh tú a bheith cúramach faoi na draíochtaí atá agat.
En: But they learned a valuable lesson: you have to be careful about your magic.

Ga: Agus bhí Finnegan, leis an gcuma ar a theanga, in ann scéalta a insint níos fearr ná riamh.
En: And Finnegan, with the look on his tongue, could tell stories better than ever.

Ga: Rinne sé gáire faoin eachtra, a fhios aige go raibh scéal le hinsint aige do ghlúnta atá le teacht.
En: He laughed about the incident, knowing he had a story to tell for generations to come.

Ga: Sníomh sé scéalta faoi draíocht, eachtraí, agus an tábhacht a bhaineann leis an gcabhair ó chairde.
En: He spun tales about magic, adventures, and the importance of help from friends.

Ga: Agus dáiríre, ní raibh sé de dhíth air an chloch a phógadh ar chor ar bith – bhí an bronntanas cainte aige i gcónaí, i ngach focal a dúirt sé óna chroí.
En: And truly, he never needed to kiss the stone again – he always had the gift of gab, in every word he said from the heart.
