While RBG said she would have decided Roe on different grounds she didn't say the privacy/due process reasoning was incorrect. Rather, she would have decided it based upon the equal protection clause. When pressed she agreed abortion was about both due process and equal protection. I think both lines of reasoning are correct. The constitution addresses unenumerated rights very clearly, "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.". To decide that women exclusively lack a degree of bodily and life autonomy is very dangerous ground. The ability for individuals to decide to procreate or not proceate is about bodily autonomy and to decide otherwise is terrifying. If bodily autonomy is removed what would stop the government from drugging you, strapping you to a table, and forcibly making that decision for you?
