What is HEXACO?  The most respected personality model in wide use today in the USA and beyond English-speaking countries. Formerly, the 5-FACTOR THEORY, in the 1990s researchers (thanks to updated computer capacities) discovered (not invented!) a 6th Factor, which they named Honesty-Humility. This H Factor was soon added to Emotionality, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, and Openness to Experience for HEXACO, the 6-Factor Theory. In this 1st program on the HEXACO Model, host Alexis Easton will describe the discovery/history of HEXACO by two young Canadian psychologists, describe the basic components of the 6 factors, and suggest how these basic 6 elements of human personality are expressed and influential -- in the behavior of our families and neighborhoods, in public discourse and political leadership.
