Dr. Foster is the director of the Arkansas Poison and Drug Information center and is an associate professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. Dr. Foster is also the founder & CEO of ATP Therapeutics Inc. Dr. Gurley and Dr. Foster dicuss a variety of topics including: what defines a poison or toxin, why we shouldnt use the term "toxin" to demonize certain foods/ingredients, how important dosing is when determining the toxicity of any substance, which medications and household items can become a cause for concern, and when to reach out to the poison control center for help. This is an important episode for any parent who wants to know more about what they should do if their child accidently ends up in a situation where poison control needs to be notified.
