The figure is reported by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). During Luis Abinader’s administration, a 97th overall ranking shows that innovation remains an area where the Dominican Republic has substantial room to improve.
The gap between inputs and outputs also raises questions about how effectively resources are converted into new products, technologies and capabilities.
