How Christ died for your sins in accordance with what the Scriptures foretold saying:
(1 Corinthians 15:3)
He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. They turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and they did not care.”
Isaiah 53:3
Surely He borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains of punishment, yet they ignorantly considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God as if with leprosy. Matt. 8:17.
Isaiah 53:4
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement needful to obtain peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded Him we are healed and made whole.”
Isaiah 53:5
All we like sheep have all gone astray, we have turned every one God’s path to follow your own way; and the Lord laid on Him the guilt and iniquity of us all. [I Pet. 2:24, 25.] Isaiah 53:5
He personally bore our sins in His own body on the cross, as on an altar and offered Himself on it that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. 1 Peter 2:24
By His wounds you have been healed. For we were going astray like so many sheep, but now you have come back to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls. 1 Peter 2:25
And thus He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, He Himself took [in order to carry away] our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases. Matthew 8:17
He was buried, that He arose on the third day as the Scriptures foretold, [Ps. 16:9, 10.]
For God had promised to raise Him from the dead, not leaving him to rot in the grave. He said, ‘I will give you the sacred blessings I promised to David.’
In Another psalm explains it more fully: ‘You will not allow your Holy One to rot in the grave.’
(Acts 13:34-35)
Then He appeared to Cephas (Peter), then to the Twelve. Then later He showed Himself to more than five hundred (500) brethren at one time, the majority of whom are still alive, but some have fallen asleep in death.
Afterward He was seen by James, then by all the apostles (the special messengers), (1 Corinthians 15:5-7)
And last of all He appeared to Paul also, as to one that had been born at the wrong time. Who himself says he is least of all the apostles. In fact he says father, he's not worthy even to be called an apostle after the way he persecuted God's church.
1 Corinthians 15:8-9
Jesus is the Christ was our Passover Lamb, to become take away the sin of the world! He personally bore our sins in His own body on the cross, as on an altar and offered Himself on it, that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. John 1:29, 1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 2:24
I pray you Know that you have died with Christ, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. He has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. Colossians 3:3, Colossians 2:20)
For you died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now you also may live new lives.
Since you have been united with Him in His death, you will also be raised to life as He was.
I pray you know that our old sinful self wad crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in your lives. You are no longer a slave to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. Romans 6:4-7
Death no longer has any power over Him or you. For When He died, He died once to break the power of sin. But now that He lives, He lives for the glory of God. So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. Romans 6:8-11
Therefore, you being united and ingrafted in Christ (the Messiah) you are a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old previous moral and spiritual condition has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17
For our sake God made Christ virtually to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him you might become endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of the righteousness of God, what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness.
2 Corinthians 5:21
And that is what you are in Christ.
