Our lives can easily become a jumbled and messy place. When life is coming at you full speed, the one thing we rarely think of is the importance of space. We spend so much time trying to fill our lives with accomplishments, material things, people and experiences, that we often forget to hit pause and settle into the stillness for a while. Hitting pause is like inserting space, and nothing should be in that space.
Some of the moments that are important for us to hit pause is when we are dealing with tragedies (as Allison and her family are dealing with now), before you apologize, when you are feeling overwhelmed or not sure of what decision to make, just to name a few.
Hitting pause isn’t a sign of weakness nor is it a time to invite guilt and shame to come into your space. Hitting Pause is way of saying, I am taking a moment to take care of myself and my mental well-being by giving myself permission to pause and take the space and time I need. So, grab a friend, join in as we discuss the importance of hitting PAUSE.
