The journey to Sabbath for both Heath and Leah was unique for each of them. Leah kept Sabbath from her birth, and Heath became aware of Sabbath during his courtship with Leah. Once they were married and started having children, they were united in Sabbath and His Appointed Times. They find that Shabbat has been a blessing to their family as it brings them together every week as a family. It is also a break from the rest of the world.The biggest blessing for their family is to see their children's reverence for Shabbat and their Creator.When asked, "How do you make Shabbat special or set aside from the other six days?" Leah says, "Kiddush Service on Friday Evening." Sometimes she will make a special dessert or meal. They will also try and do things together as a family because they are too busy the rest of the week. They will play games or watch a movie together. But most especially, they enjoy sleeping in on Shabbat! Although Heath says that sleeping in past 6:30 is "sleeping in". He is too used to getting up early every day.The Todd's would like to leave you with a scripture and is their way of sharing a great reason to celebrate the seventh day Sabbath:"Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed." Exodus 31:16-17
