When Cory (Berliner) Huminsky was just 11 years old, she was already a star softball player with a world of opportunity ahead of her. But then, she was diagnosed with a bronchial carcinoid tumor that sidelined her with no guarantee of what was to come. She was confused, and scared, and just wanted to get it out and get back to being a kid again. But she didn't let her diagnosis stop her. Cory went on to receive a full scholarship at the University of Pittsburgh where she was the starting pitcher for four years, has climbed some of the world's highest mountains, and now gives back to other young athletes as well as other cancer survivors. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Cory went on to receive a Master's in Public Health from The Ohio State University.

Pitching lessons commenced in 2011 at Mannino's Grand Slam USA in Dublin, OH, where instruction took place for two years during grad school. Cory then relocated to Pittsburgh in 2013 and began employment as the fastpitch pitching instructor at C-Side Sports Academy in Washington, PA. In 2016, a role as the pitching coach for the Peters Township High School varsity softball team was assumed, coaching for three years before transitioning to the position of pitching coach for Washington & Jefferson College, a role held for another three years.

Currently, small group pitching lessons are provided to the Lady Devil Dogs travel softball organization, alongside one-on-one lessons contracted out of C-Side Sports Academy. Cory holds the distinction of being a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Endorsed Pitching Coach and serves as a pitching evaluator for College Sports Evaluation (CSE), an affiliated company of Triple Crown Sports. The focus is on assisting young athletes nationwide in finding their college-level fit by offering pitching feedback through both virtual and in-person CSE evaluations. Services provided encompass private 1-on-1 pitching lessons, group lessons, pitching clinics, and collaboration with travel teams & organizations. Cory expresses anticipation in working with prospective clients.
