On Today's Creative Control Daily, Mike Durband and I go over the first five songs from Guns N' Roses' 1993 release, "The Spaghetti Incident." TSI was a covers albums that was released to mixed reviews, and less album sales than GNR was used to at that time. We debate whether we prefer the original version to the cover versions, and also discuss: GNR's recording and release schedule in the early 90s, working Columbia House, the importance of lyrics in liner notes, Izzy Stradlin being replaced by Gilby Clarke on these recordings, GNR on PPV in 1992, "Since I Don't Have You' and the music video, 'New Rose" and Mike's love for Duff, "Down On The Farm" and the connection to the firing of Steven Adler, "Human Being", Johnny Thunders and Durband's connection to the New York Dolls, and "Raw Power," with thoughts on Iggy Pop!
