Today on Feminine Roadmap we are talking about a midlife widow’s search for love with Debbie Weiss. Debbie found herself widowed at 2013 at the age of 49. This journey lead her to write a book, get a Master’s degree and build a brand new life alone. Her search for love took her about five years and became the basis for her first book, “Available As Is: A Midlife Widow’s Search for Love”. In this episode she tells us some of the lessons she learned. For widows she encourages them to have faith in the future and take whatever time you need. Debbie found that it took so much longer than she thought it would to move through the grief and feel like life was beginning again. Part of her process was meeting herself again, finding what she liked to do, and trying different experiences. When it comes to dating, Debbie helps single women navigate the challenges she faced.
