Ollie Chandhok, President and Publisher of Dallas Business Journal says his multicultural family values have equipped him to lead the Business Journal during the Covid-19 debacle. A Canadian citizen whose father was from India and mother was from the Philippines, Ollie discusses how he has relied on his CAN-DO attitude to navigate the staff through these ambiguous times.
“No one has all the answers,” says Ollie. “What I CAN DO is lead with transparency.” And that he is doing—sharing with his team not only metrics, but his thoughts and ideas. “I benefit from listening to my team. It’s empowering to allow them to share their thoughts. Hey, I have only one brain and I need 24 others to contribute.
