Welcome back to the CHC podcast. In this episode, we shake things up a little with Tom from the Strange Brew Podcast, who has essentially become a co-host on the show.
Upon recommendation from Tom, after he watched the movie on his outdoor projector (while tripping on shrooms) I decided to give this movie another chance. Boy was I surprised!!
No alcohol, drugs, or phone ... And let me tell you that this movie did its job. The tone is very unsettling and the whole experience feels like a fever dream by the ending.
PLOT -New England, 1630: William and Katherine try to lead a devout Christian life, homesteading on the edge of an impassible wilderness, with five children. When their newborn son mysteriously vanishes and their crops fail, the family begins to turn on one another. "The Witch" is a chilling portrait of a family unraveling within their own sins, leaving them prey for an inconceivable evil.
We also get into some general witch chats and real-life stories. If you enjoy the episode please make sure to rate/review as it helps the show immensely.
