Éxodo 34: Que el Señor resplandezca tu rostro.

Éxodo 34:29-35:
29 Aconteció que al descender Moisés del monte Sinaí con las dos tablas del testimonio en su mano, mientras descendía del monte, Moisés no sabía que la piel de su cara resplandecía por haber estado hablando con Dios. 30 Aarón y todos los hijos de Israel miraron a Moisés, y he aquí que la piel de su cara era resplandeciente, y temieron acercarse a él.
31 Moisés los llamó. Entonces Aarón y todos los jefes de la congregación volvieron a él, y Moisés les habló. 32 Después de esto, se acercaron todos los hijos de Israel, y Moisés les mandó todas las cosas que el SEÑOR le había dicho en el monte Sinaí.
33 Y cuando Moisés terminó de hablar con ellos, puso un velo sobre su cara. 34 Cuando entraba a la presencia del SEÑOR para hablar con él, se quitaba el velo hasta que salía. Entonces cuando salía, hablaba con los hijos de Israel lo que él le mandaba. 35 Al ver los hijos de Israel que la piel de su cara resplandecía, Moisés volvía a poner el velo sobre su cara, hasta que entraba para hablar con el SEÑOR.

Aquí vemos como Dios calmó su ira, superó su dolor por la traición e infidelidad de su pueblo; Él volvió a hablarle al pueblo, dándole palabras de profecía acerca de las grandes bendiciones que les quería conceder.
Todo esto ocurrió gracias a un gran intercesor que abogó por el pueblo: Moisés. Un hombre con una mansedumbre increíble, compasivo por el pueblo y también comprensivo con Dios, pues entendía que Israel merecía el castigo pero que tampoco quería que los pueblos paganos se burlaran de Dios si llegara a destruir a Israel por su pecado. Moisés amaba a Dios por sobre todas las cosas.
Es por esto que cuando Dios restauró su relación con el pueblo, prometiendo acompañarlos en su jornada; Él prometió darles la victoria sobre sus enemigos y una tierra prometida; le pidió a Moises que vuelva a encontrarse con Él como la primera vez.
Cuando Moises bajó del monte después de 40 años, Moisés no se dio cuenta de un efecto sobrenatural: ¡su rostro irradiaba una luz, causado por estar en la presencia de Dios!
¡Cuando uno está constantemente en la presencia del Señor, su gloria se manifiesta poderosamente, y el que está en esa presencia gloriosa, se convierte en un portador de la misma presencia de Dios! Esto es señal del favor de Dios sobre la persona. Significa que Dios se ha agradecido de esa persona, bendiciéndole y dándole su paz divina. Dios Habla con la persona, le muestra Sus planes divinos, le revela cosas ocultas, y responde sus oraciones, concediéndole las peticiones de su corazón.

Espero que aprendamos de Moisés, que desarrollemos ese hábito de hablar con Dios todos los días, establecer ese contacto directo, buscando un momento en el día, sea en la mañana, tarde o noche, donde podamos estar a solas con Él.
Moisés se tuvo que poner un velo para poder hablar con el pueblo, pues ellos tenían miedo de la gloria de Dios porque era un pueblo pecador que no podía estar cerca de esa presencia santa pero, ahora, ¡nosotros no tenemos obstáculos para acercarnos a Dios! ¡El velo del templo, que simboliza esa separación entre Dios y la humanidad, se rompió de arriba a abajo hace más de dos mil años!
Entra, junto con tu familia a la presencia divina del Señor, y que Él resplandezca su rostro sobre ti, teniendo misericordia y dándote paz, conforme a la bendición que Dios ordenó invocar sobre el pueblo de Israel en la ley que podemos leerlo en Números 6:23-27: “Habla a Aarón y a sus hijos, y diles que así bendecirán a los hijos de Israel. Díganles: ‘El SEÑOR te bendiga y te guarde. El SEÑOR haga resplandecer su rostro sobre ti, y tenga de ti misericordia. El SEÑOR levante hacia ti su rostro, y ponga en ti paz’. “Así invocarán mi nombre sobre los hijos de Israel, y yo los bendeciré”.

Exodus 34: May the Lord shine on your face.

Exodus 34:29-35:
Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him. So when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him. Then Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him; and Moses talked with them. Afterward all the children of Israel came near, and he gave them as commandments all that the Lord had spoken with him on Mount Sinai. And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. But whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak with Him, he would take the veil off until he came out; and he would come out and speak to the children of Israel whatever he had been commanded. And whenever the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone, then Moses would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with Him.

Here we see how God calmed His anger, overcame His pain for the betrayal and infidelity of His people; He spoke to the people again, giving them words of prophecy about the great blessings He wanted to grant them.
All this happened thanks to a great intercessor who advocated for the people: Moses. A man with incredible meekness, compassionate for the people and also understanding with God, because he understood that Israel deserved punishment but he also did not want the pagan peoples to mock God if he were to destroy Israel for their sin. Moses loved God above all things.
This is why when God restored His relationship with the people, promising to accompany them on their journey; He promised to give them victory over their enemies and a promised land; He asked Moises to meet Him again like the first time.
When Moses came down from the mount after 40 years, Moses was not aware of a supernatural effect: his face radiated a light, caused by being in the presence of God!
When one is constantly in the presence of the Lord, His glory is powerfully manifested, and he who is in that glorious presence becomes a bearer of the very presence of God! This is a sign of God's favor on the person. It means that God has been grateful to that person, blessing him and giving him His divine peace. God speaks with the person, shows him His divine plans, reveals hidden things to him, and answers his prayers, granting him the requests of his heart.

I hope we learn from Moses, that we develop that habit of talking to God every day, establishing that direct contact, looking for a moment in the day, be it in the morning, afternoon or evening, where we can be alone with Him.
Moses had to put on a veil to be able to speak with the people, because they were afraid of the glory of God because they were a sinful people that could not be close to that holy presence but, now, we have no obstacles to approach God! The veil of the temple, which symbolizes that separation between God and humanity, was torn from top to bottom over two thousand years ago!
Enter, together with your family, into the divine presence of the Lord, and may He shine His face on you, having mercy and giving you peace, according to the blessing that God ordered to convene on the people of Israel in the law that we can read in Numbers 6:23-27: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” ’ “So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”
