Our schools are predicted to become more diverse. In 2050 minority students will account for approximately 57% of the population yet a famous quote from a Ron Edmonds speech from 1978 still rings true today:
“We can, whenever and wherever we choose, successfully teach all children whose schooling is of interest to us. We already know more than we need to in order to do this. Whether we do it must finally depend on how we feel about the fact that we haven’t so far.”
