Have you seen the show Blackish??? By Kenya Barris??? Is it one of the BEST shows I have seen in an incredibly long time, and it upsets me that it took me this long to discover it. The writing, the activity, the superior casting choices, the topics, the discussions, the emotions, and oh my god, Tracee Ellis Ross, need I say more???
So the first part of this episode is me gushing about this groundbreaking show. And then we move onto several deep discussions: longevity in a relationship, mentally healthy mindsets, understanding the difference between intentions not being actions, the importance of kindness, cost benefit analysis, external factors of success, power of pshe and teaching mental health in the classroom, and finally, why we can all benefit from therapy. It's a deep one, but with 2020 coming to an end we need to be discussing mental health now, more than ever.
