ONE-TIME RIVALS TURNED TEAMMATES: On a special summer edition of The Lowdown, Logan and Fran talk with Northwestern field hockey’s Maddie Zimmer and Ashley Sessa. 

After winning a national championship her freshman year with North Carolina, Sessa, a redshirt sophomore, is joining the ‘Cats this fall - but not before the two compete in the Paris Olympics with USA Field Hockey later this month. 

Zimmer and Sessa look back at their time training with the national team in Charlotte, as well as punching their ticket to the Olympics earlier this year. And while the quest for gold is top of mind now, the duo looks forward to returning to Evanston in search of a second national championship.
