For generations the mention of Blacks, in context to the Bible, has been painted as a cursed and inferior people. However, the Bible reveals a very different image of the descendents of Ham. In this speech, Mel uses familiar scriptures that shows how those of Hamitic lineage are not only a great people, but the lineage of Jesus is full of Ham's descendants.
