This week I start a series on Creation, Evolution, and Science. Micheal Jones of Inspiring Philosophy returns to argue for Theistic Evolution. He argues for the reliability of Genesis, that Evolution is compatible with Creation, and that criticisms of Intelligent Design advocates miss the mark. This is part one of a two-part episode. I also find Michael's YouTube channel informative so I am not bashing Michael.

Dr. Haruna Sugahara, from the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology in Yokahama, and Dr. Koichi Mimura, from Nagoya university they created an environment which they thought might simulate the conditions at that time early in Earth's past. These scientists considered that tripeptides might have been produced in the early and late bombardment of asteroids on Earth. Tripeptides are building blocks in the formation of DNA.

Several years ago I wrote a book which mentioned some possibilities of virus and migrations may have been used to create new species. I based this on some ideas being presented at the time. One idea that men developed because of migration out of Africa rather than in Africa.

I realize that we can splice and reorganize gene sequences, but this is very limited. What is needed to create new species is much beyond our limited capacities.

I am not saying that I know the processes of life. Really it is too early in the understanding to state the method of life or species creation, but it is obvious that extreme Intelligence was involved in the process.

I think Michael misrepresents ID. Also I agree with Daniel that there are no scientific papers which support DNA spontaneously generating. DNA is complex and to create organisms using DNA requires complex DNA sequence reorganization currently beyond any process we are aware of in nature or in the laboratory. Evolution doesn't have any mechanism to create these complex issues in dealing with DNA. And there are no processes known to create life in the first place. What occurred first DNA or the cellular system for the DNA to survive and reproduce itself. It seems Michael is too gib in his thoughts on this matter.
