In this episode, I catch up with my teammate Sierra who I met at Providence College. We were two out of the three incoming freshman in the 2014 class. We talk about what it was like growing up playing club volleyball, the recruiting process, and dive into what it was like to transition from high schoolers to freshmen as Division 1 athletes.
Both of our volleyball careers did not go as "cookie cutter" as we expected, which exposed us to a lot of physical and mental difficulties along the way. Sierra gives such a unique perspective on volleyball and life as an athlete that I'm sure many of us can relate to, but not many of us talk about: the identity crisis that comes after your sport ends.
