In this episode of The Open Door, panelists Jim Hanink, Mario Ramos-Reyes, and Christopher Zehnder speak with guest Tony Guidotti on how an international vision and a commitment to life, justice, and peace translate into a leadership role in the American Solidarity Party. Tony holds a Masters of Global Affairs degree from the University of Notre Dame. Guidotti has worked with Catholic Relief Services and Food for the Poor. He’s the interim Executive Director of the American Solidarity Party. We’ll be asking him the following questions. Feel free to suggest your own!
Tony, could you please tell us a bit about yourself?
What led to your interest in global affairs?
You’ve worked in Bangladesh, Uganda, and Honduras. What lessons have you learned through these experiences?
How did you discover the American Solidarity Party (ASP), and why did you become a member of it?
What are your goals as the party’s interim Executive Director?
Just a few weeks ago the ASP held its annual convention. How did you help lay the foundation for it and was the event a success?
At this point, what do you see as the ASP’s main strengths?
What are the major challenges that the party faces?
Do theology and politics mix?
Where do you see yourself five years from now?
