Akalyn Whitely, 24, hails from and currently resides in Canarsie, Brooklyn, NY. He is a professional model, actor, and entrepreneur, running a 360 Photo Booth company called 6hands. With a degree in Biochemistry, Akalyn is also a student working toward his Medical Lab Technician license.
Over the years, he has pursued various interests, including soccer and baseball, but music production and Step have remained constant passions. As a competitive step dancer for nine years, he taught and choreographed shows, and he has been producing his own music for approximately the same amount of time.
Akalyn comes from a large extended family, with over 100 members, but his immediate family consists of her two younger sisters and both parents. While many admire his appearance, knowledge, and achievements, Akalyn views his life differently. He describes his journey as one marked by insecurity and numerous setbacks, feeling that he is in a more difficult place now than when he graduated college at 21.
